Samsung has delayed the launch of the secure Android software known as Samsung Knox

Samsung Knox delayedOriginally due to be released on the Samsung Galaxy S4, the launch of the secure edition of Android, called Knox, has been delayed. Knox has been designed to be a secure version of Android which will enable IT administrators to separate business and personal information.

Announced in February and expected to be released in April 2013, the release date has been put back to possibly July 2013.

Insiders at Samsung told the New York Times that Samsung had decided to delay the release because they wanted to spend more time testing the software.

Once released, Knox is expected to rival BlackBerry as the mobile platform of choice for professionals.
